Membership FAQ's

A. All new members of Active4less are invited to book in for a FREE 30-minute induction (optional). This induction is conducted in very small groups (up to 4 per session) and is aimed at giving our members the knowledge and confidence to be able to use the gym equipment both safely and correctly.

The session is taken by one of our fully qualified instructors. Participants are asked to wear appropriate gym clothing and footwear for the induction and you will need to bring a sweat towel and drink with you too.

Please note: If you opt in for an induction, you will not be granted access to the gym until you have completed your induction.

A. Yes! Save £2 / month for every friend you refer that joins the club. All you need to do is let the reception team know as soon as your friend has joined and they will make sure your discount is applied.
A. The joining fee is a 'one off' initial charge to cover our admin set up costs. The joining fee is not applicable on our contract membership.
A. Once a year on the 1st October, we charge a club enhancement fee of £20 to every member. This money is invested in improvements to the club each October. This ensures that you, the member, continue to benefit from a well maintained, superbly equipped facility.
A. If you’re on our £24.95 per month membership, you are not contractually ties to us for any specified period of time, therefore you can cancel at any time.
A. You are welcome to pop down for a look around at any time during our opening hours and you don't need an appointment.
A. Confirmation of your membership will be sent to your email address and the club simultaneously. You are then a member and can use the club the same day.
A. Here at Active4less we use a biometric entry system. No more lost/broken cards, all you need is you!
A. Absolutely! All classes are included.
A. We know that our fees are the best value available and hence there is no negotiation. To keep the membership costs low we must keep things simple!
A. We need all requests for membership cancellation in writing. Please send us an email to havant@active4less.com or visit our cancellation page to fill out a cancellation form.
A. No problem, we want our memberships to be totally flexible. You can freeze your monthly membership for only £5 per month instead of paying the usual monthly fee. This will save you having to pay another joining fee if you leave and re-join and you will retain any member referral discounts you may have earned.

Gym Services & Facilities FAQ's

A. Yes, programmes are available with our memberships and can be booked every 8 weeks.
A. Yes, we have a fantastic team of qualified personal trainers at the club, who offer a range of one-to-one and group sessions. Check out their profiles on the website, or come and meet them at the club.
A. Yes, we provide showers, lockers and toilets.
A. At this price there are some things we just can't offer! At most clubs only a very small proportion of members actually use the pool, but all members end up paying for it in higher gym fees.
A. We feel we offer a great studio programme, certainly as good as most other clubs, but don't just take our word for it, check out the timetable tab on the website home page.
A. Yes, the signup section of the website is secure, and any details entered will be encrypted before being sent to the server.
A. Yes, you are welcome to bring guests to the club. They will pay the prevailing guest fee and gain use of the gym and sauna for one session.
A. Yes, you must be 16 years of age to join the club.
A. If you have left something at the gym, please ask a member of the reception team on your next visit, or email havant@active4less.com.
A. Yes, all members can enjoy a relaxing sauna after their workout – these are located in the men’s and ladies changing rooms.
A. There is free parking outside the gym.
